Zero Plastic Workshop-

Plastic first became widely used in the 1960s. So, can we have healthy convenience without plastic? Just like we did a short while ago, businesses can operate without plastic and be profitable, and an all-around success in 2024.

Workshop Content:

An impossible task!? Just a short while ago, plastic was not even an option, so how did businesses operate? Everyday biodesigners around the world are coming up with new innovative materials to replace plastic for a multitude of uses, so even though the odds might seem stacked against going plastic-free, we actually have more options than we did before. How do we bring these and other solutions into practice feasibly?

With assessment, research, and innovation your business can be plastic-free or get pretty close.

Let’s consider this example: On average a person owns between 12-35 pairs of shoes, around 60% of shoes are made of plastic. There are some issues to consider with natural rubber, synthetic and natural leathers as well. How can you be success as a footwear business without contributing to that – and become an environmental asset instead?

In this two-day (7 hour) workshop we will explore:

  • the use of plastic
  • strategies
  • business models
  • material alternatives (traditional and new)
  • material feasibility and costs
  • communication
  • trend setting

Bring your business challenges and we’ll explore the solutions.

The workshop starts with an assessment that you can follow with a worksheet to explore your use of plastic (if you don’t have a product or business in mind, one will be provided for you). Why is plastic your current choice? We then move on into strategies, materials, and models that can hold your possible solution.

You will have a full day to research, I will also problem solve alongside you.

The second day we will explore the feasibility of your solutions, highlight common research errors and how to avoid them. We then move into implementation, communication, trend setting and exploring your client base.

Bring your business challenges and we'll explore the solutions.

Who is it for?

This workshop is best suited for business owners and professionals that recognize the big issues with continued use of plastic and want to replace it and phase out its use. Of course, where plastic that is already in circulation is a feasible choice, durable, and we can find a clear reuse and recycling route it will be included in our solutions.  This workshop is also suitable for:

→Service based business professionals that want to provide informed support/content to their clients and avoid greenwashing.
→Enthusiasts that want to solidify their knowledge.

When will the course start?

On June 21st and 24th between 10am – 14:00 CET.

The price is 400€ + replay and worksheets.

This workshop can be scheduled by teams and groups upon request and the time frame can also be adjusted. It is a great choice for professionals and most SME’s. Be sure to check if you can get your training costs covered by government funding. Schedule a call for more information.
